Y-CHANGE LTTA Brings Partners Together in Budapest

From 14 to 20 September 2026, partners of the Y-CHANGE – Youth for Climate Action with Gender Equality project came together in Budapest, Hungary, for an international Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA).

The five-day training programme created a collaborative learning environment where participants explored the connections between climate change, gender equality, social justice and youth participation through non-formal and experiential learning methods.

Throughout the programme, participants took part in interactive workshops, group discussions, simulations, creative activities and reflection sessions. The training addressed topics such as climate and gender justice, systems thinking, eco-anxiety, collective care, inclusive climate action and youth engagement. Participants also had opportunities to exchange experiences from their countries and explore practical methods that can be transferred to local youth work.

Beyond the training sessions, the LTTA strengthened cooperation among the Y-CHANGE partners and created space for networking, intercultural exchange and the development of new ideas for future project activities.

The programme concluded with a joint reflection and certificate ceremony, celebrating five days of learning, cooperation and shared commitment to more inclusive and gender-responsive climate action.

The Budapest LTTA represents an important milestone in the Y-CHANGE journey, supporting youth workers and partner organisations in transforming climate awareness into meaningful action with young people.
